September Message from Leadership

In just a few days, more than 800 of us will convene in Cincinnati for NAHQ Next and about 500 will be joining virtually! I’m excited to be among our healthcare quality community where we can catch up with colleagues and make new connections, all while fulfilling our commitment to lifelong learning.

If you haven’t registered for NAHQ Next, there’s still time. It’s a perfect opportunity to earn up to 18 hours of CE when you join us on site or 10 hours if you attend virtually. If you’re local and can only spare a day, take advantage of a one-day registration.

And, let’s make #NAHQNext2017 a trending topic during conference. Help us make this happen by posting about your experience, engaging in digital conversations, sharing our NAHQ’s posts, and using #NAHQNext2017.

Although it’ll be a hard act to follow, our learning opportunities won’t end with NAHQ Next! In less than a month we’ll be celebrating Healthcare Quality Week (HQW): October 15-21. Check out the free resources we’ve made available on our website. I also encourage you to register for any or all of NAHQ’s complimentary webinars being offered:

  • October 17: Insights into the Future of Healthcare Quality (1 hours)
  • October 18: How to Market Yourself as a Healthcare Quality Professional (.5 hours)
  • October 19: How to Effectively Communicate to C-Suite Executives (.5 hours)

To make a special gesture to your colleagues, stock up on HQW-branded products to use as giveaways and prizes during the week to recognize the great healthcare quality work being done by your team.

Take it one step further by sharing photos of your celebrations on NAHQ’s Facebook page. Last year, we saw hundreds of pictures and posts in the digital space, and I look forward to seeing just as many during #HQW2017.

See you in Cincinnati!

Nancy Curdy, MSN MS-HQPS RN CPHQ CPPS
NAHQ President
