October Message from Leadership
What an incredible time we had at NAHQ Next last month! Nearly 1,300 attendees joined us in person and virtually. The sessions were outstanding. Some were standing room only. We didn’t anticipate the levels of interest for some of the sessions and have noted that for next year.
Connections were made in sessions and in the Solutions Center. I met young professionals, experienced nurses, physicians, and exhibitors. They are all passionate about advancing the profession of healthcare quality.
Attendees have shared their feedback. One of the recurring comments we’ve received is this: NAHQ Next was the best conference they’ve attended in years. Our Conference Planning Team worked hard to deliver programming designed to address the needs across the healthcare quality continuum, and their hard work paid off!
Planning has begun for NAHQ Next 2018, and we’ve recently opened our call for abstracts. Sharing our experience, research, and expertise is vital in our line of work so I encourage you to submit an abstract for either a breakout session or a poster presentation. The deadline for submissions is November 20 at 12 pm CST. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by next spring and registration will open at that time, too.
Watch this quick recap video from our time in Cincinnati at NAHQ Next.
Right now, we’re in the midst of Healthcare Quality Week. More than 2,000 of you have registered for our three complimentary webinars. Our last one takes place tomorrow so sign up today if you’d like to join us. It provides.5 CPHQ CE credit. If you’re a CPHQ and attended all three, you can earn 2 CPHQ CE credits once you complete the evaluations.
I’ve enjoyed seeing posts from the healthcare quality professionals around the world showing us how you’re celebrating Healthcare Quality Week 2017. Be a social ambassador for NAHQ and the profession. Keep those videos, pictures, and posts coming and be sure to use #HQW2017. Together, we can ensure our profession is recognized and valued as essential.
Happy Healthcare Quality Week!
