What a Great Conference!
It’s been a little more than a week since returning from an amazing NAHQ Next in Minneapolis. What an incredible three days of networking, professional development, and camaraderie. We estimate that more than 3,000 healthcare quality professionals participated on site and virtually, making it the most successful conference in NAHQ’s history! We had a record 54 poster presentations and 70+ breakout sessions, indicating the increased research taking place in our growing profession.
I am so proud of this outstanding event. Its expanding reach demonstrates that the visibility and credibility of NAHQ is in sync with the increased recognition of our profession as an essential component for healthcare organizations. Just as we are critical to the success of our organizations, NAHQ is crucial to our success as healthcare quality professionals. It is our professional home, and NAHQ Next serves as a reunion of sorts. The feedback I have been hearing from both live and virtual attendees is that this was one of the best conferences they have attended and they would be immediately implementing many tactics in their roles. I was especially pleased to speak to so many first-time attendees. These first-timers were bubbly with excitement to return to their organizations and apply their new found knowledge.
For those of you who attended, please remember to complete the overall evaluation to receive your CE certificate. Also, for those who joined us in Minneapolis, we have a special thank you gift just for you: access to the virtual recordings.
As I said during the opening plenary session, healthcare quality professionals are vital to the delivery of healthcare in the 21st century. The knowledge that was imparted by our excellent speakers and poster presenters, will help us further position ourselves as leaders in an industry that needs us at the table as quality becomes a key business strategy in our organizations.
Mark your calendars now for NAHQ Next 2019: September 16-18 in sunny Phoenix, AZ!
Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and thank you for all you do to improve healthcare quality!
