This webinar will focus on the challenge of providing high quality, safe medical care to patients with significant behavioral health needs within healthcare settings. Whether in inpatient or ambulatory care, patients seeking treatment for critical medical needs may have comorbid mental health issues that require special consideration to maintain safety. Due to the need for medical equipment in these settings, there are significant challenges in creating safe environments.

This presentation will discuss and model the application of quality improvement methods and other interventions to various settings to improve the environment of care, as well as the use of training and simulations to help build awareness of safety gaps to help keep patients and employees safe
