“Almost every week throughout the program there was a topic in the course discussion board that aligned with the discussions occurring at my own hospital.” – Kiera Champlin-Kuhn, RN BSN MS-HQS

The events of the last few months have placed unprecedented demands on healthcare delivery teams across the country. Colleagues have stepped up to the challenge in an extraordinary show of dedication and commitment to meeting the needs of their patients. However, this dire situation has served to underscore gaps in the system that can only be bridged with high-quality education, tools and resources. NAHQ has done an exceptional job in providing high quality virtual and short-format resources to support the community via its COVID-19 Resource Center.

Members of the team working remotely under stay-at-home orders have likely become more comfortable with accessing content and information online. Many universities and vendors are offering online coursework at a reduced rate, or even for free. But quality online instruction involves more than simply posting articles, slide decks and lectures online. Students need access to evidence-based content, expert instructors, and an opportunity to interact with the faculty and one another to create a community of practice.

Jefferson College of Population Health (JCPH) has been delivering outstanding online graduate courses for over a decade. The JCPH Healthcare Quality and Safety (HQS) program was one of the first to offer immersive and practical training completely online. It is also one of the few with an integrative approach to learning where physicians, nurses and non-clinicians collaborate on course material in an interprofessional environment.

The HQS program is also certified by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), the specialized accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as the only accrediting body for healthcare management programs at the master’s level. Certified status is a mark of quality, indicating that the program has committed to participate in the establishment of distinct accreditation standards at the master’s level.

JCPH is proud to collaborate with NAHQ in making it easier for professionals working in quality to access exceptional online programming.  Thanks to a special arrangement, NAHQ members receive 15% off tuition for JCPH online graduate certificate and master’s degree programs. NAHQ members who hold the CPHQ designation may waive an elective course requirement.

JCPH offers a variety of accelerated programs and accepts applications on a rolling basis.
