NAHQ Offers Complimentary Quality-Driven Solutions for Addressing COVID-19 and Discounts for CPHQ

Complimentary content and limited-time discounts offered on the prep and exam for the Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality^® (CPHQ) credential – qualifying you at a higher level

CHICAGO (March 26, 2020) – As America’s healthcare workers dutifully serve those affected by COVID-19, the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) is publishing on-demand, quality-driven, short-format resources and is offering several free or reduced-priced certification products to assist in ensuring a heightened focus on quality during the pandemic.

“Healthcare quality, and the proven competencies that support it, are more important now than ever. We are truly locking arms to combat a global health crisis, and healthcare quality heroes are emerging,” said Stephanie Mercado, NAHQ CEO and executive director. “By providing NAHQ members and the broader healthcare quality community with timely insights and relevant tools, we live out our mission of equipping healthcare workers to deliver value and better patient outcomes.”

NAHQ’s COVID-19 Resource Center contains a growing library of resources, each of which call upon quality tools to solve challenges related to the crisis. Formats range from panelist podcasts featuring healthcare leaders, to focused sessions sharing technique insights, to white papers showcasing industry learnings. All elements are designed to be consumed in 10-30 minutes. All content is new to the NAHQ library and specifically focuses on COVID-19 quality and safety topics.

And, while NAHQ is supporting those directly impacted by COVID-19 pandemic, others working remotely have contacted NAHQ for support as they look to develop themselves as strong leaders post-COVID-19. For some, the downtime prompted by stay-at-home orders makes now a great time to prepare for the CPHQ exam. NAHQ encourages those who can study for and take the exam to do so, because they will be better equipped in the future.

For that reason, NAHQ is offering its CHPQ Practice Exam to its members and non-members at no charge through April 30, so they may experience the CPHQ practice exam with no financial commitment. Additionally, the preparation package for the CPHQ exam, and the exam itself, are offered at a 25% discount to members and non-members through April 30. NAHQ is working with its testing centers domestically and globally to ensure ample opportunities for completion. Individuals who purchase the exam during this time period will have the standard 90-completion window once testing centers re-open.

Mercado said, “To the extent that some members of the healthcare workforce can use this time at home to improve their capabilities and capacity for quality and safety, NAHQ wants to help, by reducing the cost barrier to entry.”
