Amid the ongoing, well-documented challenges facing the healthcare industry today, the commitment shown by healthcare quality professionals to supporting positive patient outcomes, has never been stronger. Despite increased demands on your time, you have remained nimble and focused on enhancing your skills and knowledge to thrive in this new environment.

NAHQ continues to bring forth opportunities for you to remain relevant and to demonstrate indispensable value to your employer:

    • NAHQ NEXT: September 14-16
This year’s fully virtual conference gives you the opportunity to engage with best-in-class faculty from some of the nation’s largest health systems and organizations, as they address topics and share insights on issues related to the pandemic. That is in addition to the more than 20 on-demand sessions focusing on practical tools and skills you can easily apply to your daily work. Plus, NAHQ is collaborating with the Patient Safety Movement Foundation to provide content on Day Three, leading up to World Patient Safety Day. You can earn up to 38 Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality® (CPHQ) continuing education (CE) credits, CNE hours, ACHE Qualified Education Credit and for some sessions, continuing medical education credits (all pending approval). And, you will have access to all sessions through October 23, 2020.
    • Self-Assessment
Completing this survey will help you analyze your current work and identify areas to broaden your exposure to competencies outlined in NAHQ’s industry-standard Healthcare Quality Competency Framework. Once you complete the survey, you can immediately review your results and start working on your professional development game plan. Your subscription to the results is good for a full year. Learn more about this one-of-a-kind resource.
    • Learning Lab webinars
These hour-long webinars offer practical knowledge to support you in your role, and they provide one hour of CPHQ CE credit. This month’s Learning Lab, Overcoming the Data Lag: LEADING the Way to Quality-Driven Healthcare, is set for Thursday, July 23 from noon-1 pm CT. Remember, Learning Labs are complimentary to NAHQ members and typically $89 for nonmembers. However, they are currently available to nonmembers for just $39, which can then be applied toward your NAHQ membership if you join by July 31, 2020.
    • COVID-19 Resource Center
NAHQ developed this resource center as the pandemic escalated. It continues to serve as a valuable library for quick access to information on a range of topics, including telehealth/telemedicine, patient and family engagement and advice on stress management and self-care during times of crisis.

I encourage you to utilize these excellent resources and to join us for NAHQ NEXT in September. More than ever, healthcare quality professionals are being called upon for expertise in leading the necessary transformations within organizations across the nation and the globe. How are you advancing this work within your scope of influence? How can NAHQ help you?

Thank you for all you do. Stay strong and stay well.
