I am a pediatric endocrinologist, in practice over 25 years, currently working at Children’s Wisconsin. I am the Associate Quality and Safety Officer for Ambulatory Specialties for Children’s Wisconsin, a newly formed role in 2024, designed to implement and oversee a comprehensive ambulatory specialty approach to quality and safety, centralizing resources to assist in data measurement and analysis, and, in alignment with enterprise safety goals and general pediatrics quality goals, envision and put in place measurable improvements in ambulatory quality and safety. Having developed this new infrastructure from the ground up, I will be able to speak to the challenges we encountered and how we were able to overcome and demonstrate a significant return on investment. I will be able to present our work envisioning excellence in clinical experience, developed by key stakeholders, and currently working on analyzing current state and projects to demonstrate measurable improvement.
