Having decades of experience in software and database development, Miles turned his attention to Process and Quality Improvement with Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. As a Lean Engineer, Miles was a critical asset in projects to optimize surgical throughput, adopt surgical bundles to standardize pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, and he led multiple initiatives to collect, analyze, and communicate performance data for increasing numbers of surgical disciplines. As a Quality Data Scientist, Miles is focused on getting clinical information interpreted, analyzed, and presented to our providers as quickly as possible as well as positioning our hospital to take the next steps towards even more advanced analytic capabilities.
