Robin Betts, RN, CPHQ, MBA-HA, is Vice President of Safety, Quality & Regulatory Services for Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan within Kaiser Permanente Northern California. She is a nationally recognized leader in patient safety, quality, and high-reliability systems, with a distinguished 40+ year health care career spanning pediatric and NICU nursing, nurse informatics, and executive leadership in quality, risk management, and safety. In her role, Robin advances Kaiser Permanente’s excellence in clinical quality and patient safety, including mental health services, while overseeing hospital and health plan regulatory oversight and compliance. In 2013, she received the Patient Safety Movement Foundation’s Humanitarian Award for her global impact in reducing preventable medical harm. Robin holds an MBA in Health Care Management, a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, and a nursing degree.
