Abdel is a seasoned advocate in healthcare quality and patient safety, with over 16 years of progressive leadership experience spanning the U.S., Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the Philippines. He currently serves as the Associate Director of Quality Assurance-Risk Management at New York City Health & Hospitals - Harlem, where he drives improvements in resilience, risk reduction and compliance, and patient-centered care within one of the nation’s largest public health systems. Abdel’s career is defined by his ability to transform organizations, guiding them through regulatory readiness and leading patient safety initiatives. Certified in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety, he has applied innovative methodologies in quality improvement, problem-solving, and system redesign. His expertise includes designing hospital-wide dashboards and leveraging analytics for real-time performance monitoring. Abdel holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Southwestern University and is currently pursuing an MBA at Fitchburg State University and at the same time working on a doctoral dissertation in Organizational Development.
