Manager, Quality Improvement - Nicklaus Children's Hospital
I am a seasoned healthcare leader with 29 years of experience spanning pre-hospital emergency care, acute care, rehabilitation, and systemwide safety services, especially in rural health settings. Currently, I serve as a Quality Improvement Manager at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, partnering with clinical and operational leaders to advance patient- and family-centered care through data-driven, human factors–informed improvement initiatives (including stroke alert effectiveness and Leapfrog-validated safe surgery checklist work). I previously led bioethics and patient rights efforts across Baptist Health, expanding ethics consultation utilization through education and strengthening organ donation workflows. My nursing leadership background includes managing spine and pediatric rehabilitation services, achieving major reductions in falls and CAUTIs. I also bring deep expertise in regulatory readiness, staff education, and interdisciplinary collaboration, supported by an MSN and ongoing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training.
