Elevate, Educate, Celebrate: Don’t Miss Healthcare Quality Week

As I write this, I’m reflecting on how far our community has come in leveraging data, practice, and passion to advance quality and safety in healthcare. This month I’m energized by NAHQ’s momentum, and I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read through—and to join us in the exciting opportunities ahead.
One of the centerpiece highlights in October is Healthcare Quality Week, which takes place October 19-25th. We’ve organized seven complimentary sessions to celebrate the impact of quality professionals and share cutting-edge practices you can bring back to your teams and organizations.
Each day offers at least one webinar that delivers both inspiration and practical takeaways—and, yes, continuing education credits too. Some topics to look forward to:
- “From Mess to Success: Elevating Quality to Achieve Healthcare Excellence” — exploring how recent data and ROI models bolster quality investments, featuring Stephanie Mercado from NAHQ.
- “Navigating the Next Era: Industry Leadership in a Changing Healthcare Landscape” — guidance on forging relevance and impact in dynamic times, featuring Jonathan Perlin from Joint Commission, Stephanie Mercado from NAHQ and moderator Josh Berlin from Rule of Three.
- “High-Reliability Abstraction” — methods to scale abstraction efforts with consistency and fidelity, featuring Stephanie Iorio from American Data Network.
- “CMS Priorities & Implications for Quality & Safety” — insights into up-to-date regulatory and policy shifts that may affect your work, featuring Dora Hughes from CMS.
I encourage you to register early, block time on your calendar, and invite colleagues—especially those who may not yet realize how central quality is to organizational success.
You might wonder: “What will I get out of attending?” From my vantage, here’s what I hope each of you takes away:
