As the pace and intensity of healthcare delivery continue to escalate, I find myself continuously stretching to find the time to accomplish all that I know to be important. Yet I know it is essential to take time to gain critical perspectives on what’s happening in healthcare on a broader scale, and how today’s challenges will affect quality and safety in the near future. How are others addressing these same issues across the country? We all need time to reflect, refocus and reenergize our knowledge of quality and safety, and to learn from others with a perspective on actions that can make an impact.

That is the opportunity of NAHQ next, the premier, multi-day virtual event that highlights the most important issues facing healthcare today, with a focus on actionable content to help you be ready for making a bigger difference the very next day. Across virtual live sessions and more than 160 expert speakers representing the spectrum of healthcare settings, NAHQ next provides the opportunity to learn about important quality and safety issues with a focus on the future. I value the real-time networking and best practices, reminding each of us that we are not alone, and are part of a national network of colleagues equally inspired by the importance of quality work.

NAHQ next features presentations addressing “how-tos” and a results orientation, beyond discussions of industry challenges. I find these to be the “pearls” that I take home and implement. Sessions are provided by those who are working day to day and leading the discipline in their impact, making the content relatable and applicable to today’s many healthcare settings and roles.

NAHQ next is a virtual event, which enhances accessibility. I believe that the virtual format also encourages connections and engagement as well as networking, providing the ability to ask questions and network through the chat features and more.

This year’s event will be highlighting one of the key issues of our time—Rebranding Quality—to achieve the opportunity and the potentially major impact of quality and safety in today’s settings. Driving our mandate to move beyond a minimum requirement compliance mindset, speakers will be highlighting the opportunity to think big and inspire as we seek to significantly improve healthcare in any setting.

I hope to see you all at NAHQ next. This is our time to collectively look beyond the individual challenges we face, and see the quality and safety opportunities that abound. Taking time to participate will help us all be stronger champions for quality and safety. Prepare to be reenergized and reinspired.

See you there!
