Dr. Nancy Claflin is an accomplished HQ professional and consultant, having retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with more than 40 years of experience in nursing and healthcare quality. At the VA, Dr. Claflin served as chair of the Quality Executive Board, established the quality management program in nursing, and was responsible for quality and performance improvement for patient care services.
She received the CPHQ in 1987 and is an active NAHQ member, previously serving on the Board of Directors and as NAHQ President in 2004. Dr. Claflin has taught CPHQ review courses and lectured on healthcare quality for more than 20 years.
