Starting my professional career in antimicrobial stewardship, I have always had a passion for quality improvement and making healthcare delivery as safe as possible. Approximately 5 years ago (at the very beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic) an opportunity presented itself for me to transition into a broader leadership role within my organization to take on infection prevention for our health system. These last five years have been full of unique and challenging experiences but I go to work each day knowing that the work of advancing infection prevention and healthcare quality makes a difference in the lives of the patients we serve.
