Al Qasim serves as a Quality Coordinator in Patient Safety and Performance Improvement at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the National Association for Healthcare Quality and a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and Project Manager through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Al Qasim earned a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and recently completed a certification in Artificial Intelligence for Work and Life from the University of North Florida. With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and clinical research, Al Qasim has contributed to national and international collaborative research initiatives and large-scale quality improvement programs in critical care and patient safety. Her work focuses on performance improvement, incident analysis, implementation of evidence-based safety practices, and strengthening healthcare systems through multidisciplinary collaboration. Al Qasim has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in leading journals including The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, The Lancet, Intensive Care Medicine, PLOS ONE, and Scientific Reports. She has received multiple recognitions for her contributions to healthcare quality and patient safety, including national patient safety awards and research excellence recognitions. In addition to her clinical and research work, Al Qasim actively supports education and capacity building through training programs in patient safety, root cause analysis, and robust process improvement.
