Sandi Steinfeld, MPH, CIC, is a seasoned infection prevention professional with over 25 years of experience. She began her career with IP&MA in 1998 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico, as well as a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health. Sandi specializes in facility program assessment and management, policy development, regulatory survey preparation, and remote hospital-acquired infection surveillance. Her expertise spans across various healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term acute care, rehabilitation, psychiatric, and ambulatory surgery centers. Sandi is also a published author in several clinical publications and a presenter at professional conferences. Currently, she serves as an administrator and holds the roles of human resources and professional development director.
