Prior projects include acuity-based assignments for nurses, medication safety for nurses and patients, standardize education for patients, and telemetry black belt project. The telemetry project is focusing on utilization and indications for telemetry as well as the cleaning process and making alarm settings actionable. Assisted in supporting the development of a Stroke, Observation, and Heart Failure Units at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and Virtua Memorial Hospital. Conduct Mock Codes to enhance skills in managing the deteriorating patient. Implemented Impella, IVUS, Ask Angie, and same day pacemaker discharges in the Cath Lab. Assisted in teaching the RRT Nurses and ICU Nurses indications for right sided EKGs in the RRT workshop class. Presented at Trends (2017, 2019) acuity based assignments and medication safety. Presented at the Evidence Based Conference (2017) presenting acuity based assignments. Presented the Impella program at Virtua Nurses Day (2019). Developed and supported Shared Governance teams on PCU and Cath Lab. Developed a new admission profile for Observation patients at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and support the Cupid team for EPIC in developing documentation for the Cath Lab department at Virtua Memorial. In addition to EMR support, the policy manual of the Cath Lab was revised for the system as well as orientation to the department. Worked with a cross-functional team to develop CHF education and a CHF pathway protocol that is focused on decreasing readmission rates across the health care system. Wrote and submitted the Beacon application for PCU, silver level recipient 2018-2021. Award received at NTI in 2019 and poster presentation was given on improving employee engagement at the Conference. During COVID I launched a program for 5 acute care facilities called Virtual Angels. The Virtual Angels allowed family members to use a digital platform to see their loved on during visitor restrictions. I leveraged EPIC during COVID to help ease visitor check-in. This helped to prevent log lines before being able to visit loved ones. I successfully completed 3 Joint Commission surveys. I developed a standard process for new leaders to be oriented to Quality Management. The new orientation to Quality Management includes quality, accreditation and regulation, infection control, risk management, and patient relations. The orientation along with other new initiatives demonstrated a decrease in C-Diff positivity rate by 73%. CAUTI and CLABSI utilization rates are reviewed regularly and have decreased since 2020.
