Health Equity: Moving Beyond the Philosophical Discussion to Execution
Healthcare systems have explored a variety of avenues to assure inclusion and equal access to clinically appropriate services, programs, and activities for all accessing their care. Many focused on teaching and education of staff; however, they still have challenges in addressing health disparities through execution. This presentation provides an organizational approach to executing health equity mitigation from the Board to the frontline by building and adopting Inclusive Design through augmenting human-centered design science and methods and embedding into the standardized project management life cycle. Participants will learn from applied science through case scenarios that will demonstrate how everyone can engage in this work!
