Chris Gausselin has consulted for 20 years in over 20 countries as a communication expert and coach. He has delivered keynotes, has trained, and advised executives and talent in the technology, scientific, health, financial and governmental sectors. He also served as Director of a communication firm specifically serving professional athletes in media and branding. Chris has helped clients craft and deliver keynotes, plenaries, and pitches. His consultancy, V3 Executive Communication, prepped an M&A pitch for the JP Morgan health symposium resulting in a $1.4 billion acquisition. Chris has directed and performed internationally with award-winning theatre companies. As a longstanding SAG Member, he has also worked in film and television.   

Richard G. Greenhill, DHA, CPHQ, HACP-CMS, PMP, FACHE is internationally recognized for his work in healthcare quality! He serves as the Director of the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management Program in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and as the inaugural Director of the Industry Advancement Technology (iAT) Accelerator at the Texas Tech University Innovation Hub at Research Park. Dr. Greenhill’s career spans more than 30 years across sectors - including honorable retirement from the U.S. Navy Medical Department. In 2023, he was elected to life-long membership in the prestigious International Academy for Quality and Safety (IAQS), highlighting his expertise and impact in healthcare quality and patient safety. He joins a distinguished roster of well-known pioneers in healthcare quality improvement and patient safety including Donald Berwick, Sir Liam Donaldson, Jeffrey Braithwaite, Albert Wu, and Paul Batalden. Membership in the Academy is lifelong and one of the highest honors that an individual working in healthcare quality can receive. 

He serves as Faculty in the American College of Healthcare Executives, board certified in healthcare management and an ACHE Fellow. Dr. Greenhill was named to the roster of Experts with the International Society for Quality in Healthcare - Dublin, Ireland and serves as an Expert with the World Health Organization, Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office located in Cairo Egypt. 

Randy Harmatz is a healthcare quality leader with decades of experience in spearheading and implementing culture change in healthcare. 

Randy currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Nicklaus Children’s Health in Miami, Florida where she is responsible for Quality, Patient Safety, Public Reporting, Management Engineering, and Infection Prevention.   

Prior to joining Nicklaus, Randy served as the Vice President for System Quality and Patient Safety at Ochsner Health where she had oversight responsibilities for Acute Care and Service Line quality systemwide. During her tenure, Randy re-organized the quality structure, launched a project management function for quality and stood up a clinical risk management division.  

Randy served as the inaugural Chief Quality Officer and Senior Vice President with University of Florida Health in Gainesville., where she revamped the department’s strategic plan, launched a clinical risk management program that reduced serious safety events by 80 percent, created an Office of Patient Experience that included patient and family advisors, and developed a quality and patient safety council for medical school residents. Randy also served as Vice President of Quality at University Hospitals-Cleveland Medical Center. She has a master’s degree in business administration from Baruch College in New York City, and a bachelor’s degree from Boston University. 

April Taylor, FACHE, CMQ/OE, CLSSBB, CPPS, CPHQ is the chief operating officer at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. In this role, she provides leadership for ensuring quality and improving care through data analytics, transparency, and collaboration. Taylor also serves as core faculty in the Center for Healthcare Improvement and Patient Safety at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, in Philadelphia where she teaches healthcare quality measurement. Her previous experience includes the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Catholic Health East (now Trinity Health). Taylor is an examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and a senior examiner and trainer for the Mid-Atlantic Alliance for Performance Excellence. She is also a recent recipient of the American College of Healthcare Executives service award.

Bert Thurlo-Walsh is the Chief Quality Officer and Vice President at Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC) in Milford, Massachusetts. Bert is responsible for leadership and oversight of the Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Risk/Claims Management, Accreditation, Patient Relations, Infection Control, Interpreter Services, Case Management, Pharmacy, Psychiatry, Organizational Excellence, Data Analytics, Patient Experience, Medical Education, and Medical Library activities at MRMC. Bert has over 30 years of experience in healthcare, with almost 20 years in Quality and Patient Safety. Bert’s recent past experiences included the Associate Chief Quality Officer & Vice President at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts, and the Director of Quality and Patient Safety at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Massachusetts. Bert holds two Bachelor’s degrees; one in Natural Science & Mathematics and the other in Nursing. He has his Masters in Management, Healthcare and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Bert completed the Advisory Board Company’s Executive Fellowship (FABC) program. He is a Past President of the New England Association for Healthcare Quality and an active member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). Bert served on the NAHQ Education Commission, and past NAHQ Next Conference Planning Chair.
