In less than two months, healthcare quality professionals from around the world will convene at NAHQ NEXT (Sept. 13-15), a fully virtual event for 2021. I am excited to hear from the variety of high-caliber speakers and look forward to connecting with each of you. I am sure many of you share this sentiment.

The agenda will guide us through a quality journey covering the eight domains of NAHQ’s Healthcare Quality Competency Framework. We have mapped all live and on-demand sessions to those domains, making it easy to identify and prioritize all the content that aligns with your areas of highest interest. I am always looking to build my network and was pleased to learn all the ways I will be able to connect with other attendees this year. I encourage you to review the agenda online and start to organize your conference days and define desired outcomes.

I recognize the many demands on your time, and I appreciate how difficult it can be to take in all the content in just three days. NAHQ will ensure you have ample opportunity to learn from these presenters and absorb all the material. Registrants will retain on-demand access to all conference content from Sept. 13 through Dec. 31, 2021, giving you plenty of time for you to watch, or re-watch, sessions at your own pace. CPHQs in need of continuing education (CE) hours can claim up to 40.75 from attending the conference.

What has you most excited about this year’s NEXT? Let us know by sharing your thoughts on LinkedIn. Share the conference details with your co-workers, especially those who found themselves supporting quality initiatives for the first time over the past year. Perhaps they have never attended NEXT and would benefit from the boost in competence and confidence that I have experienced by attending over the years. I also know of many organizations sending entire quality teams to the conference so they can learn and grow together. Keep that in mind as an option as well.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer and are finding opportunities to recreate, rejuvenate and reconnect with friends and loved ones, especially those who you may not have seen over the past year amid the pandemic.

As always, thanks for all that you do!
